Professor Glen Jeffery professor of neuroscience at the Institute of Ophthalmology at University College London has developed a new pair of deep red light glasses based on his many years of research in partnership with UK lighting company Planet Lighting to help people of 40 years old and over to slow the ageing of their eyes and even improve their colour vision. These glasses are the world's first low cost eye chargers designed for home use.  Using 670 nm red light Dr Jeffery has proved that this light can slow the ageing of your eyes by giving increased energy to the mitochondria in the retina.
